Social Events
Apart from away travel the Supporters Club has a busy program of social events, so
that you can meet other supporters and indulge in that activity that is close to
the hearts of all of us -
The Supporters Club has a new Social Secretary this season, who succeeds Iain Colqhuhoun. Iain was Social Secretary for the past few seasons and did a sterling job in building a varied calendar of events that catered for all tastes and ages.. Emma Peagam, who succeeds Iain and is the youngest ever committee person in the history of the Supporters Club, is putting together an exciting program of events that we hope will entice you to come to our events and have an enjoyable time.
Emma hopes to have some new events that inter spaced some old and very trusted favourites. However as a Club we are always on the look out for new ideas and events that may be enjoyed by the members, so if you have any ideas please feel free to contact Emma (using the email link at the base of this article) or approaching any of the Committee and outline your idea and we will make sure that it is passed onto Emma. Emma is very keen to hear from some of our younger members, so that events can be planned that may well interest them.
Below are some of the events that are programmed for this season. Tickets can be booked for any of these , by contacting Emma or anyone of the Committee.
Please feel free to use the following email link Emma Peagam

THE FINAL FLING (FOR NOW ....) SATURDAY 17 MAY 2008 at 7.30pm
The Supporters Club is pleased to announce that there will be an End of Season Social on Saturday 17 May 2008 in the Hiding Place / Sports Bar.
Summerhill Folly are hosting a ceilidh to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The sounds of fiddles, banjos, accordians, and other instruments and an experienced caller mean that everyone should be encouraged to step onto the floor and try test out their dancing expertise.
The event has already attracted 100 people and we are muscling in on it.
However we have secured the exclusive use of the upstairs gallery so that Supporters Club Members can socialise together and join the main party for reels and jigs, as we choose.
We are hoping to get some players along as well.
And of course we will draw the Summer Raffle at the ceilidh.
All this, plus a vegetarian buffet, for only £5.
And the funds raised go to a cause that has served a number of local rugby players and their families well.
Come along and have a great time!
Tickets can be paid for on the night, but please e mail mfpeagam@btinternet.com before Thursday 15 May if you are coming along, just so we can have an idea of numbers.
